Dog License

Notice: Please be advised that Pennsylvania State Law mandates that all dogs be licensed at time of purchase (legal at eight weeks), or at 3 months old, whichever comes first.  Dog Licenses must be purchased by JANUARY 1ST OF EACH YEAR REGARDLESS of when the license was purchased the previous year. State Dog Wardens may issue fines up to $500.00 per dog for violation of this law plus court cost.

  

Yearly Dog Licenses:

Dog licenses are available at the Treasurer’s Office or any of our outside agents. Licenses go on sale December 1st and are good until December 31st, every year. 

 

Lifetime Dog License:

Lifetime dog licenses can only be obtained through the Treasurer’s Office. The dog must be microchipped or have a tattoo, and the following applications must be back to our office within 30 days of the veterinarian signing the paperwork:

 

REMEMBER… Dog licenses are important to everyone, including your dog. If your dog is lost or runs away, it can be identified and returned if it’s found wearing its license.
