Lawrence County "Thank a Vet" free Veterans ID Discount Program.

The Lawrence County Recorder of Deeds office is proud to announce the 'Thank a Vet' Veterans ID Discount Program.  We salute our men and women who served in the Armed Forces, as well as those presently serving our Nation today!   The program provides a photo ID card to Lawrence County Veterans who have recorded their US Military Discharge with the Recorder of Deeds office.  The photo identification card is provided free of charge.

What is the Veteran ID Card For?

The Veteran ID Card is a digital form of photo ID you can use to get discounts offered to Veterans at many restaurants, hotels, stores, and other businesses.

Am I eligible for a Veteran ID Card?

This program is open to any veteran.

How do I apply for a Veteran ID Card?

Veterans should record their US Military Discharge in the Lawrence County Recorder of Deeds office located at 430 Court Street, New Castle, PA 16101.  Questions about the record please call 724-656-2128

You will need the following Information:

  • Original copy of your DD214
  • Drivers License

If your discharge has already been recorded, please come to the Lawrence County Recorder of Deeds office and we will verify that it is of record and issue your 'Thank a Vet' photo ID discount card.
